NOLA Nuptials

We will be going to Tableau for Happy Hour, described as the

"Happiest Happy Hour in the French Quarter."  

Time - 4:00pm. Upstairs bar. Dress: Upscale Casual.

Friday, June 2

6:00pm - Welcome Dinner - New Orleans School of Cooking

We invite all guests to join us for a special welcome dinner at the New Orleans School of Cooking. 524 St. Louis Street, New Orleans, French Quarter.

Saturday, June 3

Excursions

Big Easy Swamp Tour - Airboat

Details - Darrien will be leading this excursion to our favorite Swamp tour.  Kids and pregnant women not allowed. Meet at our Airbnb (741 Esplanade Street) on Friday morning, at 8:45am. We will have breakfast waiting for those going on the tour. Transportation will pick you up at 8:45am outside our Air BNB. 

Ticket - Buy your ticket at the link below. Purchase SMALL AIRBOAT WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION.  Cost $95.00

Select 9:40am tour. In the Hotel Pickup write "DARRIEN & MEGAN WEDDING" so they put you in our group.

Steamboat Natchez  - Lunch & Jazz Cruise down the Mississippi

Details -  Megan will be leading guests on a Steamboat Jazz Lunch Cruise.  

Ticket - Buy your ticket for the cruise at the link below under Reservations, select 12:15-1:15pm seating and lunch. Cost - $44.00 adults / $22.00 kids. Cash bar available.

Please select the 11:30am departure time. In the notes section put "DARRIEN & MEGAN WEDDING" so they seat us near one another for lunch.

Excursions

1. Bacchanal Wine - Uber it to this great location, buy a bottle of wine in their wine shop and sit outside in the awesome courtyard listening to live music. Starts at 12:00pm noon daily. Kids not allowed. Worth the trip out of the French Quarter. If you head out to Bacchanal Wine, stop on the way and eat at Elizabeth's Restaurant, a authentic southern cooking and has praline bacon for breakfast on the menu. On your way back from Bacchanal Wine, stop at The Friendly Bar, great spot in the Marigny. This is one our excursions we do every time we are in NOLA!

2. Horse Drawn Carriage Tour - You can pickup a horse drawn carriage in Jackson Square. We do it every time we head to New Orleans, it is totally worth it. The driver provides history and you learn a ton about the city! You can pre-book it as well. Click HERE

3. Segway Tours - Fun way to see the city. Click HERE

4. Royal Street - This is one of our favorite streets in the French Quarter. Antique shops, stores, and French Quarter charm. Make sure you take a stroll down Royal Street. 

5. Garden District - Head down Magazine Street and come back on St. Charles Street to catch all the beautiful homes of the Garden District. Magazine street has tons of cute stores, restaurants and cafes. If you head down Magazine Street stop at District Donuts  for a donut and coffee (amazing place) or stop at our next favorite Dat Dog (tons of varieties of hot dogs, began as a shack after Hurricane Katrina).  District Donuts Click HERE  / Dat Dog Click HERE

Kid Friendly Things

1. Riverwalk - Along the waterfront is a paved riverwalk. A great place to go for a walk and enjoy the river, boats etc.

2. Aquarium & Insectarium- On the riverwalk is a large aquarium. Click HERE

3. Jackson Square - Walk over to Jackson Square, each day there is live entertainment, shows, face painters and lots of action for kids.
